About this place
Built in the 1820s as the home of the ruling Al Qasimi family and the seat of government, Al Hisn was rebuilt in the 1990s and is now a museum. Its rooms, towers and old prison cells tell the story of Sharjah's rulers, trade and daily life through photos, documents and weapons.

بُني الحصن في عشرينيات القرن التاسع عشر مقراً لأسرة القواسم الحاكمة ومركزاً للحكم، وأُعيد بناؤه في التسعينيات وأصبح اليوم متحفاً. تروي غرفه وأبراجه وزنازينه القديمة قصة حكام الشارقة وتجارتها وحياتها اليومية بالصور والوثائق والأسلحة.
