The real story of Dubai, told along the creek.

Why it's worth the trip

A beautifully designed heritage museum spread across restored creekside houses, with detailed installations on Dubai's history, the creek, pearling and the famous Perfume House. It's the perfect answer to "Dubai has no history".

About this place

Al Shindagha Museum occupies a cluster of traditional houses at the mouth of Dubai Creek, once home to the ruling family. Each pavilion tells a chapter of Dubai's story through immersive displays, with the Perfume House a highlight. Allow a few hours, then walk along the creek to Al Seef.
